Saint Andrew & Anthony Kampala Orphans Trust (SAAKOT)
is a charity based in UK registered No. 1123759 and Uganda principally concerned with sponsorship of the education of orphaned children in Kampala,Uganda.

The charity began as a result of pleas to Revd.R. Anthony Miller of England from orphan students in Uganda. Soon found myself in contact with Mr. Fredrick Mutengesa, then Warden of St Andrews church Kabuusu, Rubaga, Kampala enabled verification of the need and safety channeling of funds. The charity has had a financial sponsorship/ donation from UK, Europe and USA but naturally is always looking for more funds. It has been very helpful to the operation of the charity, that it, Founder has a self financing travelling ministry in various countries. This means that no income is spent other than directly on children’s nurture, with the possible exceptions of a small salary paid to a welfare officer, who was otherwise
unemployed.

Some children live in a hut with grass roofing.  Others in a cement-block room or housing.  Yet, no matter where they live, all SAAKOT children share one thing:  the dream of a better life.

Education is a major component of the SAAKOT program.  Our comprehensive, holistic approach to child development also includes:
