ST ANDREW AND ANTHONY KAMPALA ORPHANS TRUST

Saint Andrew and Anthony Kampala Orphans Trust (SAAKOT) is a not for profit making initiative engaged in complimenting and strengthening the work being done for orphans and vulnerable children by different stakeholders in helping them break  their risk cycle through long-term solutions. SAAKOT focuses on assisting needy and vulnerable children, particularly orphans to translate their despondent lives into meaningful ones through access to education, health care, and decent living.

The charity is duly registered as a UK charity with registration Number 1123759.

VISION:
“To bring a significant and positive change in orphaned children’s standard of living in Uganda.”

MISSION:
 To protect, empower and care for parentless and needy children from all backgrounds.

OBJECTIVES:

As stated in the constitution of the registered charity, the objects are

1. To sponsor the education of orphaned children in Kampala area of Uganda preferably on a one to- one basis, up to completion of a first university degree where appropriate.
2. To assist the said sister committee in the acquisition, establishment, organization and maintenance of any home which may accommodate otherwise homeless orphans.
3. To assist the said sister committee in the acquisition,establishment,organization, maintenance and running of any firm or other business which may assist in the realization of objective 1.
4. To restore hope and provide effective and appropriate long term interventions to the needs of vulnerable and hopeless children.
5. To advocate for a change in attitude, policy, and collective responsibility towards the needs of vulnerable children
6. To mobilize resources so as to equip the charity for successful implementation of different projects which are geared towards uplifting the plight of vulnerable children.
